Clarity of Purpose (1 minute Read)
At this decisive moment, we must define our objectives and plan our future actions. If President Ruto leaves office, we must be prepared for the next steps. The presidency must be our focus, and we need to be clear about our demands and strategies.
Proposed Changes and Governance (3 minute Read)
Devolution, intended to bring services closer to the people, has only devolved corruption. The country needs structural changes:
“……Why do we have 47 counties? America is a continent. The country of America is the size of a continent. They have 50 governors. Why do we have 47 governors and 47, MCA’s I mean, I mean, senators. What are the work? kazi ya women rep ni nini? Why do we nominate MCA's and MP's and senators? Immediately, we achieve because we shall achieve. We must revert back to 8 counties. You You know what's going on with Wamatangi?……”Eric Omondi
Reduce the number of counties from 47 to 8, similar to how the United States, a much larger country, manages with 50 states.
Eliminate unnecessary positions such as Women Representatives and nominated members.
Implement a referendum to address corruption, tribalism, and partisanship at the root.
Call for Immediate Actions (1 minute Read)
We must maintain organization and avoid internal conflicts. Given the moral authority and long-standing involvement in this movement, there is a need to articulate our vision and prayer for Kenya clearly. Regardless of whether Ruto resigns, we must stay focused on our ultimate goals.
Critical Reflection and Urgency (1 minute Read)
Kenya's last significant earthquake is a metaphor for the current upheaval. Just like a woman in labor, this movement cannot be stopped. The current political and social shifts are inevitable and necessary.
Conclusion and Moral Imperative (3 minute Read)
The struggle against systemic corruption and inefficiency is Kenya's last and best chance for meaningful change. We must seize this opportunity with determination and unity. The world, particularly Africa, looks to Kenya for leadership in revolution and revival. The sacrifices and efforts made must lead to substantial reforms for a better future.
