Parliament will expeditiously pass the Conflict of Interest Bill with the explicit caveat that the President will veto any bill that does not establish the highest bar with respect to accountability, integrity, and anti-corruption.
Timelines for Justice
National Justice Law and Order Institutions will provide a timeframe to the public for the conclusion of proceedings in active cases.
Tax Expenditure Transparency
A legislative and regulatory framework will be provided to make the process of VAT refund transparent, open, and accountable.
Promoting Local Manufacturing
Legislation will be tightened to reduce and eliminate imports of goods and products already manufactured in Kenya to promote value addition, manufacturing, and industrialization.
